William made a successful pass to the second grade! He comes across as shy and soft spoken and still dreams of one day acquiring a job to help his father care for his family; a seemingly heavy burden for one so young but William seems determined. Meet William, who has been generously sponsored by Samantha Fink. He is 7 years old and in the 1st grade this year. He lives in Gehwee Town, Liberia with his father. William’s father has 7 children. He told our team: “When a father has to choose between feeding his children or sending them to school, feeding them becomes a priority.” William’s interests are learning so he can come home and teach his siblings. His big goal is to help his father to send the rest of his siblings to school one day. William hopes to be a nurse when he grows up.
