Menkapoe was promoted to 4th grade! She continues to live with her grandmother and wants to be a doctor one day. With less than 500 doctors serving a population of 4.5 million people, Liberian households often experience fatalities due to treatable illnesses. Children aspiring to become doctors is a worthy cause. We are honored to walk alongside Menkapoe as she follows her dreams.

Thanks to the generous donation from Jessica Reed, Menkapoe has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She was promoted to the 3rd grade this year and still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. Her grandmother thanked GPA for playing a parental role in the life of Menkapoe by supporting her educational journey. It sometimes takes a “global” village to raise a child.

Meet Menkapoe, who has been generously sponsored by Parker & Michelle Connelly. She is 9 years old and in the 2nd grade this year. She lives in Suakazue, Liberia with her grandmother. Her mother died of typhoid and her father abandoned her with her grandmother. Her interests are to help save lives and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
