January 2024: Kou is a twenty five year old single mother providing for her five children through subsistence farming.  Kou shared that her husband left her because she is mute.  Persons with disabilities have little or no supportive services in Liberia and mute women are often taken advantage of because of their limited ability to have a meaningful relationship.  Kou was granted a farming supplies package to expand her farming enterprise.
