Rachaell’s dedication and hard work have paid off as she has been promoted to the third grade, bringing her closer to her dream of becoming a teacher one day. She remains in the care of her mother, grateful for the opportunity provided by the scholarship. Rachaell expresses profound gratitude to her sponsor and Girl Power Africa, acknowledging that without their support, she might not have been able to attend school. She believes strongly in the power of education for girls, stating that “they will one day lead the world – so we need education too”.

Rachaell was retained in second grade and has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year. We are not sure of the circumstances surrounding her retainment, but we do believe in second chances. She was very nervous to be dropped from the GPA Education Program but we assured her that if she continues to work hard in school this year, we will continue to support her. Rachaell was promoted to the 2nd grade! Thanks to the generous donation from Sandy Prestine, she has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She still wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother. NOTE: She was out of town present during GPA registration, but her materials were given to the school administration to be given upon her return.

Thanks to the generous donation from Sandy Prestine, Rachaell has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She was not present during registration, but her materials were given to administration to be given upon her return. For unknown reasons, she did not complete her last year and is still in the 1st grade this year. She continues to live with her mother.

We are pleased to announce that Rachaell was promoted to the 1st grade for the 2018/2019 school year. Her teacher reports she’s a good student and participates often in class. Sandy Prestine, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student the gift of education.

Meet Rachaell, who has been generously sponsored by Sandy Prestine. She is 10 years old and is in Kindergarten-1 this year. Rachaell lives in Vehyipa, Liberia with her mom. Her mom has a lot of children and could not afford to send her female children to school. Often times, if the family is able to afford education the male children are selected to go to school first. If the family is able to afford it, then they’ll send their female children to school. Rachaell is excited to join her brothers. Her interests are washing clothes and she hopes to be a teacher when she grows up.
