October 2019: Thanks to the generous donation from Pam Albi, Mercy has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019-2020 school year.

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Mercy was promoted to the 5th grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Anonymous donor (CW), thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education through Girl Power Africa.

2018:  Meet Mercy, who has been generously sponsored by an Anonymous donor (CW). She is 15 years old and in the 4th grade this year. She lives in Duazon, Liberia with her mother and father. Mercy’s father is unemployed and her mother is a recipient of Girl Power Africa who sells petty business. Her mother’s income is not enough to support a family of 11. The family has been unable to afford to send their children to school on a regular basis. She hopes to be a gospel musician when she grows up.
