George has successfully advanced to the fourth grade, now 13 years old and edging closer to his aspiration of becoming a teacher in the future. During our interview, he expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to attend school, emphasizing its importance in his life. George envisions a future where he can give back, sharing his dream of establishing a school named “Boy Power Africa,” with inclusive policies welcoming girls as well.

Continuing to reside with his mother, George remains steadfast in his pursuit of education and his ambition to make a positive impact in his community.

Twelve-year-old George was promoted to 3rd grade! He has been re-enrolled into school for the 2022/2023 school year.  His favorite subject is math and he’s been performing very well in his classes. Meet George, who has been generously sponsored by David Helbach and Lana Howard-Meyers.  He is 7 years old and is going to school for the first time this year, in ABC. He lives in Sanniquellie, Liberia with his mother. Unfortunately, this cute little kid had been accidentally skipped twice from our waiting list!  He came and said Oma, “I wana go to schoo Oh,  buh my ma nah gah money to sen me to schoo”. (Translation: Oldma, I want to go to school, but my mom can not afford to send me to school ).   His interests are playing soccer and he hopes to be a teacher when he grows up.
