Thanks to the generous donation from Katherine and Dave Batterman, Estella has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019/2020 school year.

June 2019

We are pleased to announce that Estella was promoted to the 1st grade for the 2018/2019 school year. She still wants to be a doctor when she grows up. With less than 500 doctors serving a population of 4.5 million people, Liberian households often experience fatalities due to treatable illnesses.  Children aspiring to become doctors is a worthy cause. Katherine and Dave Batterman, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education.

Meet Estella, who has been generously sponsored by Katherine and Dave Batterman. She is 13 years old and in the K-2 this year. Estella lives in Sopea Town, Liberia with her grandfather. Although both of Estella’s parents are alive, about 5 years ago they abandoned her with the grandfather and have not been heard from since. The grandfather too is unemployed with 13 grand and great-grandchildren. Her interests are helping her grandpa and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up.
