September 2021:  Thanks to the generous donation from Patty Glennon, Blessing has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. She received an incomplete for the 2020-2021 school year.  Due to COVID-19 outbreak, schools in Liberia had irregular school schedule. This combined with the lack of technology in the schools, some schools made the decision to keep students in their current grade level for the 2021-2022 school year. Blessing was kept in her current grade level of 2nd grade for the upcoming school year. She continues to live with her mother and still wants to be a policer officer when she grows up.

September 2020: Thanks to the generous donation from Patty Glennon, Blessing has been re-enrolled into school for the 2020/2021 school year. She is in the 2nd grade this year. Her last name has been changed from Dahn to Togbayee. She still wants to be a police officer when she grows up. She continues to live with her mother.

October 2019: Thanks to the generous donation from Elon Roti Roti, Blessing has been re-enrolled into school for the 2019-2020 school year. 

June 2019: We are pleased to announce that Blessing was promoted to the 1st grade for the 2018-2019 school year. Eeyor, thank you for your sponsorship and giving your student a gift of education through Girl Power Africa.

2018:  Meet Blessing (a very shy girl), who has been generously sponsored by Eeyor. She is 10 years old and in the kindergarten2 this year. She lives in Gbobayee, Liberia with her single mother. When Blessing’s mother was pregnant with Blessing when the father disowned the pregnancy. Since her birth, the mother has been having a difficult time supporting she and her daughter. Blessing hopes to be a police officer when she grows up.
