Sixteen-year-old Benjamin was promoted to sixth grade. He still wants to be a computer analyst and continue to live with his mother. This is Benjamin’s fifth year with GPA, and we are thrilled to experience his physical, intellectual, and emotional growth. Walking alongside our scholarship recipients is both a joy and a privilege. Thanks to the generous donation from Scott Heise, Benjaman has been re-enrolled into school for the 2021/2022 school year. He was promoted to the 5th grade this year and still wants to be a computer analyst when he grows up. He helps in the classroom by asking great questions and leads discussions. He also helps around his home by taking care of his siblings and teaching them new lessons he’s learned in class. He continues to live with his mother.

He is in the 4th grade this year and still wants to be a computer analyst when he grows up. He is a huge help to his mother by getting water from the well every day, cleaning, and helping take care of his brother and other siblings.

Meet Benjamin, who has been generously sponsored by Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church. He is 11 years old and in the 2nd grade this year. Benjamin lives in Karnla, Liberia with his mother and his 5 siblings, one of which is disabled. His mother has been having a difficult time sending Benjamin to school on a regular basis because she spends a good portion of her time assisting his disabled brother. Benjamin’s village does not have a school. He walks about 4 miles each way to go to school in the nearest town. Benjamin hopes to be a computer analyst when he grows up.
